Title tag – things you need to know


An optimized site means the website successfully used “On-Page” optimization technique that “Title tag” plays role of determining a site’s ranking on Google Search engine. What is Title tag? Which elements create a perfect Title tag? The following would be your answers.
1. What’s Title tag? Title tag is a tag that contains page title of a page. Page title is the most important element of a webpage in which your keyword must be present for the content of a page. Therefore, Title tag is considered as the first factor Google search engine notices when crawling your site.

* Some rules:
+ Keyword must be contained in page title. And keyword doesn’t be repeated more than two times.
+ Keyword is positioned at the first of title tag.

#1: A unique title need containing in each page. Remember to avoid duplicating titles on your pages.

#3: Primary Keyword Phrase should be included in every title of each page: Primary Keyword Phrase has important meaning in creating a perfect title of a page. Primary Keyword Phrase is a phrase that is included on all pages on your site, in particular on home page and is the most generic and competitive phrase. So you have to add specific variations to your primary keyword phrase.

Primary Keyword Phrase: “cleaning service”
Specific variations: “Carpet service”
“House cleaning”
“Office cleaning”
#4: Beginning the title of your home page is Primary Keyword Phrase, and then Secondary Keyword Phrase. Secondary Keyword Phrase should be used on your site, but isn't as frequent as your Primary Keyword phrase.
Use the above example:
Secondary Keyword Phrase is: “carpet cleaner”
“upholstery”
“maid service”
#5: Should use specific variations to your Primary Keyword Phrase on your pages content, specific product, and service pages (As analyzed above).
#6: Keyword couldn't be repeated more than two times in the title.
#7: Once you want to place your company name on the title, put it at the end of the title. Because Google Search engine is looking for the relevant keywords in the title of your page, so you shouldn't put your company name on, if your company name isn't very famous. But if needed, you can put it at the end of the title.
#8: Shouldn’t include much more 9 words or 65 characters in a Page title. However, some cases Google still allows your title to include 70 characters.
